Pupils create a river of change for Christian Aid

Pupils at the St John's Church of England Academy in Worksop collected an incredible 10,000 coins to create a river of spare change to raise money for Christian Aid Week.'¨The primary school pupils raised more than £400 by collecting spare change and holding a cake sale.

They made their coins into a river of change in the playground to represent the river that they had been learning about in Bangladesh and the difference that the money raised could make to communities living there.
Principal, David White, said: “We loved taking part in the river of change project for Christian Aid. Our children wanted to reach out and help a community in need.”
