£1,000 boost for rheumatism sufferers

The Rheumatology department at Bassetlaw Hospital has received more than £1,000 towards the care of patients.

The money was used to purchase a new set of weighing scales for the department, which are easy for patients to use and work out their Body Mass Index.

Bev and Kath Smythe from Dinnington, donated the money in memory of their daughter, Beverly.

Donations were given by friends and family who attended Beverly’s funeral, which raised £900.

Bev and Kath put the rest of the money in to take it more than £1,000.
