Proposed merger for St Augustine’s sites to be discussed

ST Augustine’s Community Infant and Junior School sites could be merged under plans to be discussed tomorrow (Wednesday 14th March).

Notts County councillors will meet to discuss the proposed amalgamation of the two schools, following a headteacher vacancy at St Augustine’s Infant and Nursery School.

If the move is agreed, the school would form to create a single three-11 years community primary and nursery school, in existing accommodation, from January 2013.

The authority says the merger would benefit both schools and the community as a whole, as well improving the combined budget to help increase the number of available school places.
