Property is in demand according to survey
The RICS UK Residential Market Survey, February 2016 showed that in the midst of a flurry of sales from the buy-to-let sector completing, prior to the April 2016 changes, 24 per cent of respondents reported a continued growth in demand in the East Midlands housing market during February, a trend which dates back to October 2015.
Prices in the region continue to grow above the reported national average for the second consecutive month. A net balance of 57 per cent of respondents reported a price increase over the past three months compared to the national net balance of 50 per cent.
