PRODUCT RECALL: Basted turkey breast joint may contain sulphite

An important notice has been issued to customers by Heron Foods.

These turkey breast joints from Heron Foods may contain sulphite.

The retailer is recalling its basted turkey breast joint (best before Nov 2016).

A notice posted by the Chartered Trading Standards Institute state from the retailer states: “We are recalling the above product due to possible allergen (sulphite) presence in the product which is not mentioned on the ingredient list. There is a small chance that some packs have an incorrect label, which does not state all ingredients. As a precautionary measure we are recalling the whole batch.

“This batch can be identified by having a best-before-end date of Nov 2016 printed on the right bottom corner.

“Any customers who have bought this product can return it to Heron Foods for a full refund.

“No other products or date codes have been affected by this recall.

“We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
