Dominic Schad, recovery project leader at the Idle Valley Nature Reserve in Retford, won a piece of original artwork by Pat Carrington, who is based at The Hub in Churchgate.

Meanwhile, Paul and Denise Lancaster were the lucky winners of a portrait sitting with Cath Ray.

Cath has a workshop in the centre of Retford at The Hub where anyone can view, commission and buy books and artwork from her space there.

She also runs workshops and courses in drawing and painting for adults and children.

Building on the success of this year’s events, planning has already started on the Retford Arts Festival 2017, which is to be held over the bank holiday weekend of May 27 to 29.

Artists, artisans, musicians, poets, dancers, actors and writers of every kind, age and ability are encouraged to take part.

Artists need to get in touch with the Hub now to register their interest.
