Prince’s Trust team calls for new members

Worksop: Fire Service Prince’s Trust scheme is recruiting new members

The programme is for unemployed young people between the ages of 16 and 25 and is free of charge.

The Trust can even pay for public transport costs.

Young people can still claim any benefits they get whilst attending the Team programme.

“Young people can gain a great deal on the programme,” said Gavin Clark, Prince’s Trust Team support officer at Notts Fire Service,

“We work on skills which are useful for the workplace, including team building, problem solving, leadership skills, communication skills, and organisation skills.”

“We also support young people to build their confidence and self-esteem, and to overcome any problems which they may face.”

“At the moment, there are some exciting changes being made.”

“We hope to have these changes finalised very shortly, at which point we will be able to release start dates, open day dates and more.”

“However, in the meantime, should you know of anyone who may be interested, myself or one of my colleagues would be happy to speak to them or to come and explain the course in more detail. “
