Portas town?
GAINSBOROUGh Town Centre Partnership meets today (Thursday) at 4pm at the Guildhall, Marshall’s Yard, to discuss becoming a town team.
The Government wants 12 towns to pilot a strategy devised by retail guru Mary Portas, to regenerate Britain’s high street.
Successful towns would benefit from £100,000 funding and Government support.
