Poppy record
MORE than £22,000 was raised by the Gainsborough Poppy Appeal this year - six per cent up on last year.
Honorary appeal organiser Mary Cook said: “This year’s appeal has raised the record sum of £22,187 and this will help the Royal British Legion in its vital benevolent work.”
