Police name man killed in Maltby crash

A MOTORCYCLIST who died in a Maltby crash at the weekend has been named by police.

Maltby man Charles Hollis, 53 suffered multiple injuries and died following the crash around 5.15pm on Saturday 24th March.

A family spokesman said: “Charles will be greatly missed by family and friends.”

Mr Hollis was riding a red Aprilia motorbike which was travelling on the A631 from Tickhill towards Maltby when the crash happened.

The bike is understood to have overtaken a blue Peugeot 206 before colliding with the front near side of a blue Citreon Xsara travelling in the opposite direction towards Tickhill.

No-one else was injured in the collision.

Officers want to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or the manner of driving of any of the vehicles involved.
