Police give Creswell car theft warning

Police have urged drivers to take caution after a theft in Creswell.

The theft is one of a spate from cars in recent weeks.

Police have encouraged drivers to ensure vehicles are left locked, with valuable items hidden.

Inspector Russ Dakin of the community safety unit said: “These incidents are a reminder that, though crime has fallen, it is important to make sure your vehicle is secure whenever you leave it unattended.

“We ask that you remove valuables and take them with you.”

He also urged the public to report suspicious behaviour.
