Huge crowds gathered at the official Christmas lights switch-on in Worksop at the weekend.

The high street was full of festive activities on Saturday as families and friends flocked to the town.

Youngster Bailey Matthews, who won the hearts of the nation earlier this year when he completed a children’s triathlon without his walking aid, turned the lights on at Market Square.

People also gathered to watch the lights being switched on at the Priory Shopping Centre by celebrity guest Dai Bradley, who played Billy Casper in the film Kes.
