Person hit by train between Retford and Doncaster

A person has been hit by a train between Retford and Doncaster.

Services may be delayed on the East Coast Main Line after the incident earlier this morning (Saturday, January 23).

It was reported by operator Virgin Trains East Coast.

Emergency services are dealing with the incident near Doncaster and this is causing delays of up to two hours to trains between Retford and Doncaster.

Delays are expected to continue until 2.30pm.
