Daughter Rebecca Drobnica said: “He was a real Worksop Legend, everybody knew him.

"He was so kind hearted and would do anything for anyone. He wasn’t interested in expensive holidays abroad, fancy cars or designer clothes, he liked the simple things in life. He liked going to Cleethorpes with his grandkids, watching football and spending time with his family, that's when he was happiest.”

Mr Drobnica, known as “Droby” to friends, was a popular staff member at Allied Glass in Leeds.

Rebecca added: “We want to thank Bassetlaw Hospice for the amazing care shown to dad. And thanks to all his friends and work colleagues for their kind words, flowers and cards, also thank you to Dolby Funeral services for everything.

"He was a legend, he earned that title, he earned the title of grandad and earned the title dad, we got the best when we got my dad.

"Dad was a kind hearted down to earth man who would talk to anyone he met. He loved football especially the Tigers and also loved watching his grandsons play for their grassroots side on a Sunday. He was a dad, grandad, son, brother, uncle and friend and will be missed by everyone.”

The funeral that will be held on Thursday April 15 at Christ Church then on to Hannah Park Cemetery. Family flowers only and any donations to Bassetlaw Hospice in Mr Drobnica’s name.
