Thornberry Animal Sanctuary in North Anston has 13 searching for their forever homes.
The dogs at the sanctuary are a mix of breeds, with French Bulldogs, a Shih Tzu and a Bichon Frize among those available to adopt.
After seeing a dog online, an enquiry form needs to be filled out where prospective adopters provide details about themselves and their lifestyles to try to make sure dogs go to suitable homes.
If suitable as a possible match, a meeting will be arranged.

5. Lulu
Lulu the Shih Tzu is a two-and-a-half years old. She is loveable and really enjoys spending time outdoors and loves to play with toys. She is extremely fearful of men so is looking for a female only household initially. She should be the only dog in the home and her new owners will need to continue training and socialising her, showing her the world is not so scary. She should live in an adult-only house with a garden. Photo: Claire Lewis

6. Lucy
Lucy is a Patterdale Terrier/Jack Russell Terrier cross and is 13 years old. She is a timid little lady who will need plenty of love and support in her new home. She has found kennel life quite overwhelming and desperately needs to return to home comforts. She would benefit from a quiet environment and her new home must have a secure garden for her to potter around in. Photo: Claire Lewis

7. Wilma
Wilma is a two-year-old French Bulldog and is a wonderful young girl who is in desperate need of a fresh start. She arrived at Thornberry under some sad circumstances, and has likely lived a sheltered life. Despite this she has been friendly towards people and does have doggy friends but can be a little unsure at first. Her new owners should be keen to gradually socialise her and she will need all basic training including house training. Photo: Claire Lewis

8. Zeus
Three-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier Zeus is a young, excitable boy who would benefit from owners who have had similar breeds before. He can be quite boisterous but is a very friendly - he loves to play ball so a garden is essential for his playtime. Zeus could live with teenagers who are welcoming of a bouncy addition.
