Libby Brierley was pounced on by four girls who grabbed her from behind as she walked in her dressing gown to a friend's for a sleepover.

The video shows a girl thug yank Libby’s ponytail and haul her to the ground before repeatedly punching her in the face.

Libby can be heard squealing for help as the bully continues to rain blows down on her head and body.

The schoolgirl suffered concussion and serious bruises and spent the night at the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham after the attack.

Libby was assaulted while she walked to a friend’s house for a sleepover in Bilborough, on September 2 last year.

Her bullies filmed the attack and shared it on Snapchat and Facebook.

Mum Kerry, 39, said: “Three of the bullies went to her school but the teachers have done nothing to protect her.

“When I spoke to the teachers, they said they couldn’t guarantee she would be safe.

“I haven’t even had a phone call from the head teacher. The video of the attack is still being circulated on social media.

“Libby used to be happy-go-lucky but since the attack she’s gone into herself.

“She has nightmares and has had enough of life.

"Libby has started a new school but on her first day one of her bullies posted the video on social media again.

"I went to the police but they said it can't be classed as cyber bullying because Libby wasn't tagged in the video.

"The bullies have found a loop hole in the law to continue taunting Libby. Every time she sees the video appear it's like she's gone through it all over again.

"We just want the law changed to stop this happening to other people."

Kerry has now taken Libby out of Nottingham University Academy (NUSA) to prevent her daughter coming face to face with the bullies.

A 15-year-old girl admitted assault at Nottingham Magistrates Court on November 7 and was handed a referral order and ordered to pay Libby £200 compensation.
