The free event, delivered by the North Notts BID, saw X-factor and soon-to-be Hollyoaks star Jake Quickenden headline alongside a host of tribute acts and bands, promoting the town and its fantastic businesses.

Jake said: “It was really great to perform in Retford at Party in the Square - it’s always an honour to be asked to headline a line-up like this, especially when you're performing alongside some great tribute bands and artists."

Sally Gillborn, chief executive of North Notts BID, said: “We’re thrilled by the number of people who turned up to the first ever Party in the Square. The atmosphere and the weather were fantastic and really demonstrated some of the amazing things that Retford has to offer.”
