The site was previously home to a Hillards, Tesco, Chiltern Mills and Pound Stretcher – but is long since gone after being demolished last year.

Urban explorers Katie and Keeley from Urbex KK scooped up the opportunity to explore the site before it was lost forever and kindly shared these eerie pics with the Guardian.

The pair have amassed a large following on Facebook by documenting the histories of derelict buildings in and around the region.

“We are very passionate about what we do and follow the Urbex rules of take nothing but photos and leave nothing but footprints,” they said.

"We don’t break into buildings, we only enter if there is already a way in.”

Currently, there are no known plans for site, which stands fenced off and empty.
