Number of Covid patients in Bassetlaw Hospital falls
The number of people being treated in Bassetlaw Hospital for Coronavirus has fallen, health chiefs have said.
In its weekly update on the Covid-19 situation, Doncaster and Bassetlaw NHS Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust said, that it was currently caring for 34 people with the virus.
The number of patients in Bassetlaw Hospital has fallen from 15 last week to seven this week.
A hospital trust spokesman said: “At the time of writing, we are caring 34 patients who have tested positive for Covid-19.
"This is a very small increase from last week, and a timely reminder that, while things are looking more optimistic, this illness is still within our communities and as such we should act accordingly.
“The breakdown of this is as follows: 27 at Doncaster Royal Infirmary and seven at Bassetlaw.
"For the first time in quite some time, Montagu Hospital does not currently have any active COVID-19 cases, and long may this continue. Finally, the age range is between 18 and 93.
“Keep on doing what you're doing - remember hands, face and space and continue to stick to the relevant guidance. We're hoping for a brighter spring, so let's not fall at the final hurdle.”
