England come into the game on a high after beating Croatia in their opening game, while the Scots suffered a disappointing loss to the Czechs in their opener.
England are favourites but, as we all know in football, the formbook goes out of the window in derby games.

5. England 1 Scotland 2, June 4, 1977
Gordon McQueen and Kenny Dalglish scored for the Scots, Mick Channon netted for England but the game is most famous for jubilant Scottish fans climbing on the goals and digging up parts of the pitch after the game

6. England 2 Scotland 0, June 15, 1996
The famous Euro 96 meeting, Alan Shearer put England ahead, David Seaman (or was it Uri Geller?) saved Gary McAllister's penalty and then Paul Gascoigne scored one of the great goals in the history of this fixture - followed by one of the great celebrations.

7. England 0 Scotland 1, November 17, 1999
Scotland's last win in the fixture was this second-leg success in the Euro 2000 play-offs, courtesy of Don Hutchison's goal. England, however, had won the first leg 2-0, so they went through.

8. England 3, Scotland 2, August 14, 2013
Scotland led twice in this first of two friendlies to celebrate the FA's 150th anniversary but Rickie Lambert won it for England by scoring with virtually his first touch in international football.
