7. Jill Ashton
Jill has been involved with numerous good causes throughout her life - one is how she turned her passion for books and reading into charity.
Jill set up Books for Good Causes 10 years ago ten years ago, after feeling a sense of sadness that so many books were being neglected and unread on bookshelves and in cupboards. Jill decided to approach local businesses and organisations and ask them if they could host a bookshelf at their venue and help sell the unwanted books for local charities.
Since then, she and her "book elves" have raised thousands of pounds for local charities which include Bassetlaw Hospice. Photo: submitted
