5. Screening of fantasy adventure
Worksop Library hosts one of its 'big-screen experiences' next Tuesday (6 pm) when it shows the 2007 film, 'Stardust', starring Charlie Cox, Michele Pfeiffer and Robert DeNiro, as well as featuring the song, 'Rule The World', by Take That. 6. Discover Clumber Park in all its glory
Clumber Park is one of the county's treasures, and here's your chance to discover it in all its glory on a free guided walk that explores all its different landscapes and habitats. It takes place on the first Thursday of every month (10.30 am to 2 pm), starting at the Discovery Centre, but there's nothing stopping you popping over this weekend for your own, personalised sneak preview. 7. Exhibition by society of artists
The new year may be only a couple of weeks old, but Mansfield Museum's programme of exhibitions is already under way -- and one not to be missed is by The Mansfield Society of Artists, which runs until Friday, February 9. 8. New panto at the Palace Theatre
If you missed the big panto at Mansfield's Palace Theatre at the end of 2023, don't worry. For a fresh one takes to the stage this week with the 82nd annual production of the Westfield Folkhouse pantomime group. The classic, 'Sleeping Beauty', features music, song, comedy, dance and audience participation, with traditional entertainment for the whole family.
