Invitation to welcome fundraising England rugby greats as they reach Worksop

People in Worksop are urged to join in Monday's big welcome to Lewis Moody and England rugby players as they finish leg two of an epic cycling challenge, raising vital funds for motor neurone disease, at the town’s rugby club.

Former England captain Lewis, 47, who has been diagnosed with MND, handpicked some of his closest friends to join him in the arduous seven-day ride from Newcastle down to the Allianz stadium in Twickenham.

With them when they leave Worksop on day three to cycle to Leicester Tigers will be Worksop's own Phil Pask, a rugby player who became physiotherapist to the England team, and is now president of Northampton Saints.

On Monday, June 15, the peloton will end their 85-miles second leg from Ripon to Worksop Rugby Club, at around 3.30 to 4pm.

The bar will be open and everyone is invited to join in the occasion.
