Courageous Edwinstowe schoolgirl launches 100 mile charity challenge to support Children in Crisis
A courageous Edwinstowe schoolgirl is taking on a 100-mile challenge to raise money for Teddies for Loving Care (TLC) - a charity that provides comforting teddy bears to children facing traumatic medical or emergency situations.
Starting on November 22, until December 22, Fearne Taylor-Housley, ten, will travel a total of 100 miles using every form of movement she can manage, including walking, running, biking, canoeing, paddle boarding, climbing, abseiling, swimming, and even cartwheeling her way through the month-long challenge.
Family, friends, teachers and more will be joining her along the way to support her fundraising efforts.
Fearna said: “I just want to help children who are scared or hurt feel comforted.

“TLC gives teddies to children when they need something to cuddle, and I want to raise as much as possible so they can help even more families.”
Fearne hopes the community will rally behind her by donating to her JustGiving page, JustGiving/Fearne’sBigMove.
Every penny raised goes to TLC, a charity supported by the Freemasons that supplies teddy bears to emergency departments, hospices, police stations, women's refuges, and air ambulance crews across England and Wales.
TLC bears are used by medical staff to soothe frightened children, reward bravery, and explain procedures, offering comfort during some of their most stressful moments.
