The 2,260 sqm building was put up for sale in 2018 - with police relocating to the council’s nearby Queen Street building.
It is understood the sale of the building was completed last year.

Developers Benell Ltd plans to build 17 one-bed units and 9 two-bed flats in the building - using 15 already-allocated parking spaces and unaltered road access from Potter Street.
The new homes would be built within the building’s existing three floors and architects Space Studio say no exterior alterations are planned.
Because the building is located in Worksop town centre the architects point out it is very close to ‘a wide range of facilities and services’.
In planning documents, they wrote: “The proposed residential location has very good access to local amenities and facilities which are located across the town but concentrated within the town centre.

“There are a wide range of retail units very close to the building.”
Adding that the site is ideal for ‘green travel’ Space Studio say the current car park can be adapted to allow for cycle parking with six spaces proposed.
They wrote: “The location of the proposal makes the site highly accessible and sustainable with excellent public transport options for residents - which will reduce the number of trips to be used by private cars.”
Studio say the building has a positive impact on the character and appearance of the nearby conservation area and because no external alterations are proposed that would not be affected.
