All you need to know about when Worksop Library will reopen its doors including opening times

The reopening of Nottinghamshire libraries next week means that Worksop Library can finally welcome back visitors after the devastating floods of November 2019 forced the closure of the building.

Working with Nottinghamshire County Council and ARC Partnership, Inspire have taken the opportunity to make some changes and improvement to the much-loved library, which will reopen on Monday April 12.

The revamp includes a new arts and crafts area with sink facilities and children’s gallery, updated café area, interactive touch table, increased multi-use event space, improved customer power charging points, a new and improved layout to the ground floor with new shelving systems, new bright and modern flooring, decoration and furniture as well as a huge range of brand new books.

When the library reopens customers will also be able to browse and borrow, use PCs and access study space until restrictions are eased further in line with the government roadmap.

Peter Gaw, chief executive at Inspire said: “We are really pleased to reach the point where we can re-open Worksop library after such a long period of closure due to the flood and Covid.

"The team have delivered an improved library which I’m sure our customers, old and new, will really appreciate.

Daniel Maher, managing director, Arc Partnership, said; “We were delighted as Arc Partnership to hand over the refurbished Worksop Library for the benefit of the Worksop Community.

"This is a really positive story in what has been a difficult time for everyone.”

The temporary opening times are;

Monday and Tuesday 9:30am-1pm and 2pm-5pm.

Wednesday and Thursday 9.30am-1pm.

Friday 9.30am-1pm and 2-4pm.

Saturday 9.30am-1pm.

Sunday closed.
