Pause for Thought

Did you know that in the Middle Ages, before the advent of modern healthcare provision, the church was a major provider of hospitals?

Medical knowledge was very limited but caring for people was fundamental. Caring for the sick is still a church priority, although perhaps overshadowed by the NHS and other caring organisations.
The good news is that many churches still believe in ministering care and healing.
Prayer for healing still happens, quietly but with expectation.
Recently one Sunday morning when asked, many in our congregation acknowledged some degree of healing in their lives, through prayer.
Food for thought.
