Pause for Thought

On August 4 1918 King George V had called for a day of prayer for peace. '¨

He and Queen Mary joined members of both Houses of Parliament for a time of prayer in St Margaret’s Church, Westminster. One hundred days later, on November 11, the war ended.
A call has gone out for 100 days of prayer for peace. It began on August 4 and continues until November 11.
When you reflect on the state of the world we certainly need peace and we must recognise that it begins with us – living at peace with each other.
Let us think about it seriously.
