Many in the music world have been saddened by the recent deaths of David Bowie and Prince. '¨
Aware of people’s reactions, made me realise how important music is in our lives. Perhaps your musical taste is more classical or contemporary. Some of the most poignant songs can be found in the Bible, in the Book of Psalms. Life issues are laid bare in these poetic songs and sometimes directed at God to come up with answers. Paul McCartney suggested a few years ago ‘that people would have had enough of silly love songs’. Maybe, but God’s love songs endure forever.Chris Ledger, St John’s Church, Worksop.
