Pause for Thought
A royal marriage and two cup finals on Saturday. And Sunday was Pentecost, formerly known as Whit Sunday. Many people will remember the celebrations of that weekend in the past. This is because Whit Sunday or white Sunday was remembered as the birth of the church. The disciples of Jesus were frightened after the death of Jesus and were keeping a low profile, but all this changed when they were filled with God’s spirit. They began preaching and teaching about Jesus as the saviour. The same message is being proclaimed today. Jesus died for you and is still alive to pray for you. Rev Alan M. Hindmarch, Supernumerary Methodist Minister.
