Parents raise £400

A LADIES tennis tournament organised by Ranby House School Parents Group raised £400 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Richard Bond, the charity’s county chair for Notts, is pictured accepting receipt of the cheque from James Petherbridge and Rosie Murch - two kids at the Pre-Prep at Ranby House.

Both of whose parents are on the parents group committee.

During the tennis tournament the lady competitors played to win court trophies and the day culminated in a luncheon, which welcomed players and non players, and was held at the school.

An exciting, strenuous, fun-filled day was enjoyed by all, mainly due to Sue Furniss, who had worked tirelessly in organising the tournament.

Mr Bond expressed his sincere gratitude, on behalf of Macmillan, that Ranby House School Parents Group thought fit, to once again, donate such a significant amount to Macmillan.

He also very kindly gave an envelope of wild flower seeds for the Pre-Prep children to plant in their garden as a memento.
