Parents fundraise for hospital room
Keith and Emma Hampson from Bircotes were left devastated when their daughter was delivered stillborn and have been fundraising to support other bereaved families.
They presented a cheque for £3,124 to Bassetlaw Hospital and the money will pay for a room on the labour ward where bereaved parents can go.

As well as having home comforts, the new room will have a cot where parents can place their stillborn babies enabling them to spend precious time together.
Emma and Keith held many different charity events throughout last year including frog racing and a Christmas party.
Events for this year include a fashion show at Worksop Town Hall.

Lead Midwife Karen Cousins said: “Thank you so much to Emma and Keith for this very generous donation.
“Although only a small number of our patients experience such a tragedy, this money will be used to refurbish a room on the ward which will allow bereaved parents to spend time with their baby in a peaceful environment and allow them to create lasting memories.”
Keith and Emma want to thank family and friends for their support and Coun David Challinor and his wife Denise for their help with the fundraising.
