Schoolchildren in Clowne were visited by one of the world’s most famous orchestras for a recycling message with a twist.
A team from The Hallé orchestra visited Heritage School , meeting pupils to teach them about creativity and recycling.
Pupils created musical instruments and a sculpture from waste products collected from recycling centres.
An educational film ‘ReCyClowne’ was also produced, which was shown to a 400-strong crowd with a live classical soundtrack.
Bolsover District Councillor Ann Syrett said: “The Hallé were fantastic and the film and soundtrack created by the children was truly inspirational.
