Why Japan Road?
The Gainsborough Heritage Association has been contacted by leading Japanese newspaper, Mainichi Shimbun, asking if we can find out why Japan Road in Gainsborough was named Japan Road.
According to our research, Japan Road was listed in directories in 1908 but no residents were listed as living there.
