What is ‘affordable?’
250 new houses to be built in Harworth, great news 15% are to be affordable, that equates to approximately 37 houses.
My questions are, who can tell me at what price does a house become affordable and to which wage group ie a couple on the minimum wage, a couple on £30, 000 per annum, or couple £40, 000 or over?
On this proposed site are the affordable houses going to be built first or as a mix with houses that are only affordable to couples or families who are earning substantially more than £40,000, or will the so-called affordable houses not be built until the developer has sold all the more expensive houses on this site?
I wonder if any of your readers can give me an answer to the above questions?
