Meeting over LDF plans

I am not a Councillor but a resident of Wales Parish concerned about the local development site options put forward by RMBC.

They state that in Wales Parish the borough requirement for housing from 2010 to 2027 is 300 houses but there is already land that has been allocated out of the Green Belt which will accommodate 321 houses. Y

et RMBC are looking at Green Belt suggestions of “preferred” or “non preferred” sites to be allocated for building. If all sites in Wales Parish were used they would accommodate 2,140 new homes.

And who decides what is “preferred” and “non preferred”? Developers would cherry pick the best sites available for cost and return purposes so forget “preferred” and “non preferred” this is misleading. Just look at Green Belt land being made available for housing.

Wales Parish Council are having a Public Meeting on August 18th at 6.30 in the Village Hall to discuss these plans.
