Bassetlaw Food Bank

Bassetlaw Food Bank would like to thank everyone who has supported us during 2013. The support from the local people of Bassetlaw has been phenomenal.

From individual one-off donations from the public, workplace collections and corporate support, we have been able to provide more than 650 emergency food parcels for those suffering financial hardship and food poverty in Bassetlaw.

We would like to particularly thank the local churches and community groups who collect and donate to us on a regular basis, many of them weekly.

The Bassetlaw Food Bank guarantees that every single item of food which is donated and every single penny raised will go back in to the local community to help those who for many reasons are struggling to make ends meet.

Many people in the district of Bassetlaw are living in difficult circumstances and some families and children are going hungry which is not acceptable in this day and age by any means BUT we can only serve the people of Bassetlaw because we are supported by them.

We are always looking for sponsorship or fund-raising ideas to ensure that we can meet the challenge in 2014 of supporting the ever increasing demand for emergency food parcels throughout the year.

If you would like more information about our service or you would like someone to come in to your group, workplace or church or school, to talk about poverty in general please contact us on: 01909 486770 and we can arrange for one of our team to come and visit.
