Angry at customer who used mobile whilst being served

I had the misfortune recently to stand behind a young woman in a restaurant whilst she paid her bill without one word to the cashier.

With her left hand holding a mobile phone to her ear, she was in full flow conversation with a friend who was receiving just general chit chat from my irritant.

How the lady on the till displayed such patience completely amazed me! I really felt for her situation and must say, I was a little angry, to say the least, at this blatant display of ignorance from this lady.

Full marks go to the cashier. She managed more than I would have to keep my calm and not say anything.

Am I wrong to feel this way and do I really need to accept this behaviour as part of the new way of life for many people.

For me it certainly reflects such sad times?
