Editor’s Comment: Hope for the future of Worksop town centre

But at the end of the day, that doesn’t tell the full story, and there are some local business success stories, and reasons to be hopeful for the future.

We report on one such story in this week’s Guardian - the 60th birthday of Wards Shoe Shop.

This family business has stood the test of time and goes to show that it is possible for small businesses to flourish in Worksop.

There are a number of other examples in the town centre of local stores that have been around for decades and which continue to prosper.

Here’s hoping that continues to be the case.
