On your marks for fun run

Three races - mini, 2.5 and 5 miles - will be held with the aim of getting as many people as possible to pull on their trainers and take part.

The event is being organised by local jog leader Rob Stafford with support from Bolsover District Council, Village Games and Elmton-with-Creswell Parish Council.

People are being encouraged to register early to get discount entry fees of just £2 for adults and £1 for under 14s until 29th August.

The organisers hope it will be an ideal opportunity for people to get active with their friends and family, with the emphasis on having fun.

There will be medals for all runners and prizes for first male and female in each category.

Entry forms can be collected and posted at Creswell Leisure Centre and Clowne Contact Centre, or downloaded from the council website www.bolsover.gov.uk/jog-derbyshire
