The week-long event - which started on 4th August - and runs until Sunday 10th - has offered an array of exciting free family activities for the start of the school holidays.

From costumed characters to magicians, to medieval entertainment, the festival has been a major celebration of life and times of Robin Hood.

Robin Hood, played by Steve Warrington, opened the festival on Monday as he took on the evil Sheriff of Notts in combat in front of the Major Oak.
