Notts: Discuss your views on healthcare changes

Nottinghamshire Healthcare is holding a series of public meetings as part of its six week engagement period to hear people’s views about its proposals.

From all the feedback gained, they hope to make positive changes to some of their mental health services for adults and older people across the county.

The Trust is proposing to enhance its community services for adults and older people. Both feedback obtained from patients and clinical evidence reveals that people want to be cared for in their own homes. They feel it aids their recovery.

The Trust’s plans include an enhanced crisis and home treatment service for adults which will be available around the clock.

Other plans involve a community rehabilitation team for adults and enhanced community services for older people.

Under the proposals, the initial development of improved community services will lead to an increased number of people accessing and receiving their care in the community. This will reduce demand for inpatent beds.

A series of public meetings are being held for people to share their views.

The events will be held at different locations across the county between 1st September and 19th September.

The talks will come to Worksop on Wednesday 10th September at the Cross Church and Centre on Newcastle Street.

Discussions on proposed changes to adult mental health Services will be held between 9.30am and 11.00am.

Planned changes to mental health services for older people will be the topic of discussion between 2.00pm and 4.00pm.
