Three fans were arrested by British Transport Police (BTP) officers on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly on the 7.05pm train between Leeds and Nottingham on Saturday, February 6. They were two men from Ilkeston, aged 22 and 29, and a 27-year-old man from Ripley.
A fourth man, aged 36 and from Alfreton, was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer. He has been charged and bailed to attend Chesterfield magistrates' court on Saturday, February 27.
PC Wayne Mitchell, from BTP, said: "We are committed to stamping out football-related anti-social behaviour on the rail network and are doing all we can to identify the individuals concerned and bring them to justice. If you were on the train and witnessed the incident, please come forward and contact us as you may have information with could help us to do this."
