Rotherham Council’s household waste recycling centre at Magilla will be closed on Monday 4th November, for up to six weeks.

This is to allow essential maintenance work to be carried out and a new concrete surface to be installed in the area behind the recycling containers.

The planned work cannot be undertaken whilst operating the site and the council apologises for any inconvenience caused through this period.

Waste can be taken to three other centres at Car Hill, Greasbrough; Lidget Lane, Bramley; and Warren Vale, Rawmarsh, which will remain open seven days a week from 10am until 4pm.

Whilst it is closed, Magilla customers with access permits for trailers, small vans, etc will be accepted at any of the other centres.

Customers with Access Permits for larger type vehicles, which are unable to drive under a 1.83 metre (6 feet) height restriction barrier will only be accepted at Car Hill, Greasbrough.
