A qualified hairdresser of ten years, Scott took the plunge and opened the salon five years ago, and says that business has been steady.

27-year-old Scott said: “I’ve been self employed for quite a while know, and I don’t think I could go back to working for other people!

“I really enjoy what I do here. Having my own business has allowed me to get creative and put my mark on the shop.

“I have a loyal base of customers that keep returning- I know my customers and they know me. The shop has a great commuinity feel, but I wanted to invite new faces in as well.”

Multi-talented Scott has also launched a hair product label, Barber Burgess, and sells the products in-store.

“The hair label is a new project for me. I’m learning as I go along, but it’s turning out great,” he added.

Scott’s Barbers is based at 16 Ryton Road in North Anston and offers walk-in appointments.
