While others raise a glass at festive celebrations, Cindy Wainwright, who lives on site, will spend the night in a kennel with only the dogs she looks after for company.

It is hoped the fundraiser will also provide some much needed attention for one lovable dog the sanctuary are particularly desperate to rehome named Flynn.

Flynn, age 7,is tiger-brindle lurcher-cross who has been at the sanctuary for two and a half years and is still looking for his forever home.

Said Cindy: “I’m urging everyone to spare a thought for me on Christmas Eve and donate to the sanctuary!”

“The sanctuary receive no funding and do the very best we can to keep our animals happy and healthy, so we’re always in need of donations.”

“I’m really hoping someone will sponsor me and perhaps we will find a new home for Flynn.

If you are interested in sponsoring Cindy or adopting Flynn, you can pick up a sponsor form from the Sanctuary on Todwick Road, North Anston or call 01909 564399.
