A Todwick woman will be raising vital funds for Parkinson’s UK when she hosts a Christmas bazaar on Friday 14th November.
The bazaar, at Todwick Church Hall, will feature a range of stalls selling unique gifts for the festive season.
Michelle and her husband Chris are are committing to raising awareness of Parkinson’s, as Chris’s father suffers from the condition.
Michelle said: “We sincerely hope that people will come to enjoy a welcome drink with us and shop for some lovely gifts.” “Parkison’s is such a debilitating condition. Chris’s father gets abused in the supermarket if he can’t get his card out of his wallet quickly enough due to the loss of grip in his bands. Stress can make it worse.”
Paul Jackson-Clark, director of fundraising at Parkinson’s UK, said: “Holding an event like this is a fantastic way to raise funds to support our work.”
“As the UK’s leading Parkinson’s support and research charity we are closer than ever to finding a cure, but our work is totally dependant on donations., so we’re incredibly grateful to Michelle and Chris for their support.”
The bazaar will run from 7pm-9.15pm. Contact Michelle on 07817266537 for more information.
