Worksop Wonders WI: Met on Wednesday 13th June where we celebrated the jubilee. Members were asked if they could bring along for a show and tell session about their memories of the coronation. Lots of memorabilia was on show from newspaper cuttings to ration books! Our Nottinghamshire chair lady Maureen Ashby attended who has very bravely volunteered to do a flight in a glider for charity, not an easy challenge for her been terrified of heights - we all wish her the very best for that in August! The next meeting is 11th July, 7pm at the Crossing in Worksop and the competition will be designing a pennant for our jubilee bunting. New members and visitors always welcome.
