PARKINSON’S UK: On February 7th, the branch will welcome Sam Glasswell from Bassetlaw Museum, who will talk about the Raymouth Lane excavations in Worksop prior to the building works now known as Celtic Point. The aim of the branch is to offer the hand of friendship and support to everyone with Parkinson’s, their family and carers. WORKSOP Flower Club: The AGM will be held on Monday 6th February at 7pm at St Anne’s Church Hall, Mansfield Road, Worksop. This will be followed by a Bring and Share supper. Women’s Institute: President Ann Morley welcomed members and dates were arranged for the book, lunch and craft clubs. Members were reminded of the New Year Lunch on 26th January and that the annual meeting had been changed from 1st March to 8th March. KILTON Pet and Raptor Rescue, Plantation Hill: Open throughout the year for anyone interested in homing unwanted animals or for fostering. The rescue centre is expanding to Lambley in Nottingham and has opened a Farm Park and Falconry Centre, which will be open to the public from 10am-5pm, 7 days a week. Volunteers are always needed.
