Jackie Ryan, Head of St Augustine’s School, said: “It has taken six years of working with both the District and County Councils to make this happen.
“There were times we thought it might not come off but through perseverance and some great partnership work, it’s amazing that we have a play facility like this for children at St Augustine’s and the local community to use.
“We’d also like to thank Liam for taking time out to come back to his old school and help to officially open the play area.”
